Too negative.
These guys (& gal) are obviously smart. But they spend way more time ragging on what’s wrong with a film than diving into what works, and what’s great about it. They also seem to spend a lot of time over-analyzing plot holes and telling us what they wanted to happen or what they would have done if they were making the movie. The focus just seems to on the negative and what they don’t like, which is exhausting after a while. Really wanted to like it, but ultimately it just wasn’t a fun/enjoyable listen. e.g. Their review of The Last Jedi was basically a litany of complaints (if I hear one more entitled whiner complain about Snoke being killed and missing out in his “backstory” I’m gonna lose it) and even though in the end 2 out of 3 of them gave it 7/10 or higher, based on their discussion you’d have thought they were reviewing and old Troma film.
