Literally listen every night
I make a playlist and listen to these stories every single night. I have headphones meant for sleeping and play this every night, occasionally I’ll play it if I’m taking a nap as well. I love the original stories of things happening around the Night Falls world, those are my favorite to listen to- the world building is so very fun and soothing. I have every one of The Falls episodes saved so I can have them play one after another while I sleep. I’ve listened to just about every episode that is available for free and I think they are well edited, however there are a handful that the editor messed up on. Things like retakes being left in or at the beginning running ads before Geoffrey has said to hear them and little things like that. I have one complaint and it’s something new that has started happening to the stories not of Night Falls. All of the episodes previously are all toned the same, one man telling a story in a soothing voice that does not waver or change cadence- which makes it easier to fall asleep to. But these last few newer episodes are different, they feel like he’s reading it as if it was an audiobook with different voices for different characters. To me it takes me out of the story and doesn’t allow me to fall asleep as quickly it’s a little jarring some of these character voices. I’ve always felt like it’s supposed to be you visiting Geoffrey by the campfire and him telling you basically a bed time story. Like I said before, it feels more like just playing an audiobook of a random story where the narrator tries doing different voices for different characters and that’s not what I’m here for. It’s not as soothing. So for now, I’ll be sticking to the episodes I know I like and will be avoiding the ones I know have these weird voices.

These stories & simple & beautiful. The narrater has a kind, caring & lulling tone of voice. So much goes into each pod episode & I’m so grateful for the thoughtful work put in. This is sometimes my very favorite part of the whole day. A thousand thank yous
