“I love this unbiased, cold take, long form, chronological so it’s easy to digest, kind of journalism.
The distrust of a government that created the very document they use to defend their distrust is oxymoronic, comical, and a little sad.
It was created at the time as a defense against the British, not ourselves.
I understand having a pistol to defend your home, a rifle to hunt as a hobby.
Why anyone needs a gun that shoots 100 bullets a second is beyond me. And their logical defense of such ownership, makes it scarier.
Like an alcoholic at a bar, there isn’t enough on the wall to be satisfied. And for some of these gun owners, I see the same pattern.”
