A Break With Friends
As a mom of two tiny humans under three, 70% of my day is spent repeating myself 🙄and the other 29% is trying my best not to lose my… you know… which then leads to the spiral of “am I a bad mom because they’re eating chicken nuggets again/they’re not listening to me/they didn’t go outside today/I raised my voice more than once today/I miss happy hour with my friends/I went to bed instead of doing dishes or laundry/I don’t think they did enough before nap to get the wiggles out/I didn’t have time to plan or prepare anything fun today/I love them so much but sometimes I just want to be alone for 10 mins in silence…” and so on and so on. The mom guilt is REAL and often overwhelming because no matter how ridiculous or irrational the pressure is still there… I stumbled onto a post about the retreat and on a whim or maybe God wink, I registered which has led me to the podcast and it does NOT disappoint. For 30 mins or so even though I’m just listening, I feel like I’m hanging out on the couch with ADULT girlfriends. It’s nice to get practical advice with tips and tricks but most importantly it’s nice to know I am NOT alone. Thank you for being authentic! I’m happy to fill my free 1% with you!!!
