Learned a lot but Betos examples are cringe
I am Mexican American and have struggled with grammar in Spanish and sounding more fluent. This podcast has helped me so much specifically with the grammar lessons. They are easy to digest and they have helped me understand why Mexicans say certain phrases or words. However, Roberto comes off as pretty cynical and meninist in the examples he uses. I was listening to the “subjunctive triggers” episode and he uses the example: “why are all death row inmates men?” And Hector tries to explain why it might be but Beto is like “remember women are awful tooo!!!! They’re just not arrested for it because they deal psychological trauma” I didn’t ask LOL. He has strong political opinions but idk if he is an activist on the side (where he can actually make a change) or just uses his platform to share his ideologies. I guess you can say his Spanish lessons are hard to ignore XD

This is not for beginners. If you don’t have a decent grip on Spanish you will be lost... that being said if your Spanish level is intermediate to advanced this is the podcast for you. Every episode helps me so much. These guys are great
