Workforce
I admit I am listening to this w a different lense, I am not a parent. I am a Director at a university based early ed program and agree with the concept of the system being broken, I try and educate parents on this issue. I did feel like in episode one the perspective of the early educators would be important. During COVID my staff did all they could, and as you mention most programs do not receive any federal funding. The workforce is starkly underpaid! Research has proven importance of birth-5 but why can’t we invest in high- quality care for all and pay educators in this field a live-able wage. I will continue to listen and hope that this perspective is also discussed.

An incredible presentation of a relatable, widespread struggle for every family - the production is captivating and informative. I find myself smiling, crying, empathizing, and reflecting throughout.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Everything about this entire podcast. Yes. As a young mother, the first five minutes of the first episode had me nodding my head “YES” while working away At my desk.
