Homo antecessor is an extinct hominin species believed to have lived in Europe over 1 million years ago. Fossils of this early human ancestor were discovered in Spain, particularly at the Atapuerca archaeological site. Homo antecessor is strange because it shares both primitive and more advanced traits. This ancient hominin is believed to have been a skilled toolmaker and a meat-eater, providing valuable insights into early human dietary and behavioral patterns. The study of Homo antecessor continues to contribute to our understanding of human origins and our complex evolutionary history.
