Bend the knee to the one true podcast
While the (ASOIAF) fandom has spawned countless great podcasts, Jeff and Emmett have really stepped out as the breaker of cliches, the untroped, the Khals of the great reread, and the mother of podcasts. Their take on the epic story is nuanced, insightful, funny, charming and just what anyone wanting to do another reread of the source material wants to accompany their reading. They are able to recap the story in a way that could serve as Cliff notes to anyone not wanting to actually sit down and read these books (though, everyone SHOULD read the story). It’s amazing how quickly listeners to this podcast are made to feel as though they are listening in to a conversation between friends, which is what separates great podcasts from good podcasts - the feeling that the hosts are old friends of yours, with whom you are catching up. Further, this pod has come out in stride, and the only downside is that there are not yet more episodes to which one can listen. Their take on not only the story, but the technical brilliance of the writing will certainly leave you bending the knee. Give it a listen, and even if you haven’t read the book yet, the first episode will leave you wanting to pick up a book, no matter how long it’s been since you’ve last done it. Great job, good Sers, the fandom is looking forward to what you are bringing to the realm.

BryndenBfish and Poor Quentyn have officially made it a three way tie for my favorite ASOIAF podcasts. Great insight into the chapters and related topics.
