Essential for ASOIAF fans
Of the myriad podcasts on the A Song Of Ice And Fire book series, this is one of the few required by ASOIAF fans. The hosts are well-read not only on the text but have reasonably extensive familiarity with the major theories, and use their focus on theme, plot and character to gain a deeper understanding of the story, both published and yet-to-come. As such, this podcast has special relevance to writers and novelists seeking an appreciation of the writing craft. My only quibble is that, at a rate of one chapter per week, the podcast may suffer from a lack of source material once they complete all chapters before The Winds of Winter is published in 2024.

Fabulous analysis, great hosts with good chemistry and an interesting cast of guests offering their expertise. One problem though - one if the hosts obviously has a noisy family/guests in the background and it’s hard to ignore their “contributions”. Shut the door, guys!

These two podcasters are the best at explaining every little detail missed during one’s initial read through. Finding podcasters with vast ASOIAF knowledge isn’t hard, but finding some with knowledge AND charisma isn’t easy. Emmett is the GOAT

You’d think “oh, another ASOIAF podcast?” but don’t, this is high quality material for fans of the books, and the hosts are amazing. Totally worth it!
