““Newnam, you talk too much!”. So says host Brendan Francis Newnam’s fishing guide in episode 2 (Bozeman: Big Medicine) of this engaging series, as Brendan’s continuous queries distract him from the task at hand; paying attention to whether or not he is receiving strikes on his fly fishing line. It’s a funny moment, and actually true - but only at that moment in time. The rest of the time, it’s Newnam’s inquisitive nature that drives this podcast, and while mostly the tone is light, sometimes the revelations are surprisingly moving.
Technically, the show is also well put together, with good audio recording and music choices enhancing both the mood and the sense of place.
I’m staying along for this ride!
