Practical and worth it
She has lots of great ideas. I don’t agree with everything. For instance, do NOT have a substitute teach a new game from reading the directions that day unless you always have subs who are used to your grade level and you are sure they play games and have some basis for understanding it. They don’t have time to read that and it’s not as self explanatory as you might think. However, most of her advice is smart and practical. She may sound like she is recording in the bathroom, but you’ll get some great advice like have a special substitute behavior plan. Post it big in your room so kids will believe the sub. Great ideas. Just make it easy. Very very easy. I didn’t understand the bingo explanation (draw a card?) and I’m pretty smart but elementary was not my level...Add a petal for each student each time they are respectful? Ain’t nobody got time for that.
