Description
Anna Kloots is a woman whose life story to date is nothing short of a US Box office hit movie. Filled with magic, romance, travel, heart ache and ultimately the empowering story of a woman who had to find her identity again and rebuild her sense of self... although Anna decided to do that, on her own in Paris. At the tender age of 19, Anna went from her small hometown in Ohio to New York. Fell in love with a magician (who coincidentally was from the same town) and before she had the chance to grow into her own magic, she committed everything to the magician: putting aside her own dreams to become his full-time assistant and wife. As each year passed Anna followed her husband’s career and ambitions, whilst trying to find outlets for her own, but quickly began to realize that she needed more from life and her marriage. As she fought to become more than just a plus one in her husband’s life, Anna’s husband left, and she was confronted with the devastation that she had completely lost sight of herself. Anna was forced to pick up the pieces of her life and review who she wanted to be going forward and what was it that made her happy. Writing and adventure led Anna to decide to start again in her favourite city – Paris, where she proceeded to not only write a New York Times Best Seller “Live Your Life,” and her memoir about rebuilding her life, “My Own Magic,” but also managed to create a life true to her dreams and her values. So, we asked what helped a woman with a broken heart mend her heartache? How do you pick yourself up to move to another continent alone? And what is living life in Paris truly like?   Rebecca Bull – Creator / Executive Producer / Co-Host Zoe Weir – Co-Creator / Co – Host Sophie Jackson – Producer Social Media – Naughty Nancy Social Media Agency Website / Brand Design – Foster Creative Video Editor – Luke Morgan See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
