Learning to be a better reader, one classic (or not) at a time!
I listen to this podcast every week, whether or not I have read, or even plan to read, the classic they are discussing. From Sara and Chelsey I am learning to better describe the books I’m reading. Hearing them talk about plot, character, themes, and tone is helping me read like an English teacher, beyond “I liked it” or “I didn’t like it.” They do make the classics accessible, so I am also encouraged to pick up novels I probably wouldn’t have otherwise. The pairings are of particular interest to me, as they give me a way to understand the classic better, and to pick up a modern counterpart. Novel Pairings is a wonderful podcast for all readers who like to go deep - love for the classics not required. It has enriched my reading life and given me a reason to smile when I wake up on Tuesdays!

The only problem with this podcast is that it is forever adding to my TBR...Read full review »
