Biased and exploitive
I completely understand the value of building a narrative but creating ‘good and evil’ characters in this story is completely unnecessary. Particularly when no one knows what happened. This is not a rich vs poor story. It’s the story of a child’s disappearance, a quest for answers and the pain of two families. References to the Foster’s car and education are unnecessary and divisive. The are designed to demonize the very people who gave William a safe home after his birth parents put him in such danger that the courts decided he should never be returned. If the Australian think it’s necessary to ‘build characters’ in this manner I hope they do the same when describing the birth parents.

Turned this off before the end of the first episode as it was unnecessary to be so critical of the foster family. This does not help the situation
