Turgid Delivery
I am finding the delivery of this podcast very difficult to listen to. The narrator speaks so slowly, seeming as though age will build to a dramatic climaxes but they never come. I’ve tried to listen at 1.5 speed but as other interviewees speak at normal pace, it doesn’t work. The repeated tiger noise is not poignant, but just sounds a bit creepy. I’ll keep going past Episode 1 in the hope of anyone providing any insight (rather than the interviewees who don’t know or can’t say anything), but compared to other podcasts from The Australian, it’s so far quite disappointing.

The narrator frequently repeats things and she talks quite slow, which feels wasteful. I listen to the podcast on 1.5 to make up for the slow...Read full review »
