“Fi Glover is the best radio presenter working in the industry bar none. And she has been for two decades. She has a voice like the best hug you’ve ever had, a laugh that is utterly intoxicating and a brain that makes you hang on every word she says. What’s more, she’ll lull you into a false sense of security by making you believe that she doesn’t have the gravitas for the big question in the big moment because of her lightness of touch. Yet she’ll find a way to deliver it over and over and over again when it matters, just when you weren’t expecting it. Sure, she was a R4 treasure and Fortunately was great, but she is an absolute master of her art and grossly, grossly under appreciated by the masses. We should treasure presenters like Fi. Because God knows, when they’re gone we’ll truly miss them. There should be a full, independent enquiry into why she was allowed to leave the national broadcaster. There will not be a finer presenter in this country for the next two decades.”
