Description
Shaun Goater is the latest guest on the Official Manchester City podcast.
Goater represented the Club between 1998 and 2003, scoring 103 goals in 212 appearances.
Arriving at City when we were in the third tier, Goater’s goals were the driving force behind us re-establishing ourselves in the top-flight by the time of his departure.
In doing so, he became a firm fan’s favourite and is now considered a Club legend.
Goater is now part of Gareth Taylor‘s coaching staff, helping City chase trophies in the women’s game.
In this episode with hosts Rob Pollard and Goater’s friend and former team-mate Paul Dickov, the striker recounts his early days in Bermuda and the career path that took him to Maine Road.
He also discusses some of his favourite memories in a City shirt, including winning promotion and some unforgettable goals against Manchester United.
A fantastic trip down memory lane!
