Can it be perfect? No, but...
Very few podcasts do everything well... Evocative writing style ✅ Authentic and enticing narration ✅ Fantastic stories ✅ Sound design that truly supports the storytelling ✅ Perfect pacing, fluidity, and personality as everything fits together ✅ Even if you don’t vibe with the tales that are told in this podcast, it is undeniably perfect in it’s production elements and talent. I can’t wait to see what comes as the story continues to unfold! My only criticism is that I’m not 💯 comfortable with the language and tone of the “fellowship hall” and how everything is presented in response to church traditions...I enjoyed it at first, but find it to be increasingly uncomfortable as the episodes continue. However, it is easy to skip as I end each episode.

This sort of story is right up my alley. Dark, poignant, eerily relevant, this transports me into a dark version of my childhood Southern escapades. I hope they do the same thing with Ozarks. I’d love to hear some twisted folk tales about Arkansas.
