Finally reviewing
Probably my favorite in audio fiction. Old Gods of Appalachia is a masterclass in what I refer to as a directed, plot driven anthology series. Not being afraid to spin off into different stories that come together to inhance the narrative is one of this shows strongest points. Fantastic writing and nuanced, wonderful narrative reads from the team of Cam Collins and Steve Shell. Listen today!

Excellent storytelling. Thoroughly engaging. Gorgeous addition to episodic horror fiction podcasting.

I can’t say it’s a bad story. Quiet the opposite. It’s a great story about a region of America that’s been criminally ignored over the past century. But jumping behind a pay wall after one good (not great, not perfect, just good) season isn’t a good thing. Sorry; it’s not worth paying for.
