Does the Mediterranean diet affect the inflammation and adiposity of those with coronary heart disease? That's the issue Accredited Practising Dietitian, Dr Hannah Mayer investigated in her PhD, from which she was awarded the 2018 Dieticians Association of Australia New Researcher Award. Today, Hannah leads a project focused on implementing the Mediterranean diet into routine care for people with chronic disease at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. Hannah is also Lecturer in the Bond University Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice and is passionate about teaching Dietetics students research skills.
