“I stumbled into this podcast when it first launched while Marisa was plugging it after one of her appearances on The Doughboys podcast (another show she is a wonderful featured guest on). The concept of a podcast that dug into the lore and history of consumer brands that shape us all resonated with me. I gave it a shot and was instantly hooked and turned into a loyal “Freak”.
The show combines the curious and funny Marisa with her real life close friend, Jon - an Emmy Award wining researcher and all around hilarious and quirky soul. Each episode they rotate surprising the other with a brand of the week complete with a history and some unique lore about how said brand came to be.
The two make you feel like a fly on the wall as you listen to best buds chat and tease each other and teach themselves and their audience about a brand we likely all recognize but often know very little about.
