DJ Fat Tony
Ok so the the last 3 podcasts have been amazing. I followed you Matt, after your documentary and my wife felt exactly the same as yours. Unfortunately my wife couldn’t take i anymore and I have gone from texts messages on the 27th of July discussing our family holiday over the Christmas period this year to the 28/29th living in my car. I had a traumatic childhood and have been in and out of recovery for a year or so but have realised the addiction has affected me and my family since 2019. I have used and abused my wife who I love unconditionally which sounds hypocritical but I honestly do. L******, my 3 wonderful children and a beautiful dog, Nala are my world. Who I miss with all my heart. They are who I live for and the reason why I haven’t successfully taken my own life. The episode with DJ Fat Tony is unreal. As in absolutely insane! It’s just unbelievable and Matt / Tony…If you were both looking to get people, especially us men talking and to realise what addiction is and why we need some serious help then you have succeeded! Thank you and I do hope with your help Matt and by downloading Tony’s book in a moment. I truly hope that I will get my wonderful wife, beautiful children back and get through recovery, ultimately for me but also for my family who are seriously struggling. Thank you all X

Started listening because I’m a fan. I’m now certain I’ll return to this periodically as a self reflection. Especially the Bryony Gordon episode! It’s made me look inward and begin to think about taking the first steps in addressing my own issues.

Love Matt’s podcasts, especially some of the recent solo episodes. He talks from real experience and talks about the realities of trying to do things better. He is funny, humble and relatable. It’s nice not to have someone that is patronising about how to be perfect. Love it Matt!!!

Such a fantastic open and honest dialogue that doesnt skim the surface and gets into the nitty gritty. Matt is such a good host and looking forward to more eps
