Dexter Lawrence and Defensive front look strong, Daniel Jones ugly return vs Texans
Listen now
Description
It was the exact opposite of what Giants fans wanted to see. Daniel Jones looked rusty, locked on to reads and. throwing ugly interventions in his return to action against Houston. While it may mean little in the short-term season outlook, it was a. troubling performance for a six-year pro who only found his rhythm once the Texans pulled their starters. Elsewhere the Giants had many positives - the Offensive Line. played solid once again, with Greg Van Roten and Jermaine Eluemunor standing out. Trade acquisition Brian Burns looked every bit the part, as Dexter Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeux got in solid reps as well. The depth on defense however, remains on shaky ground. Poor play from Tre Hawkins III, Darian Beavers and Boogie Basham reminded fans that even with studs starting, depth reps remain a question mark for Big Blue.
