“Oh, how I wish Clare had her own show. When I heard that she and Clara were doing a podcast together, I thought of course I would listen because I was such a huge fan of Clare on Instagram. Furthermore, I had assumed that Clara’s… unique… way of speaking was only reserved for her mock-PR TikToks. Unfortunately not. I had to pause the first episode twice on my commute because I could not bear to listen to her, and I ended up not even finishing the episode. She also kept interrupting Clare, whom I enjoy so much. It’s really a shame because you can tell that Clara is a intelligent, humorous woman, but it’s completely overshadowed by the distracting way she speaks (upturned end of every sentence in an extreme way). Anyway, 5 stars because the premise of this podcast (unpopular opinions of popular books) is stellar— and perhaps you will be more tolerant than I am!”
