Love!
I played games as a kid on early computers and consoles (NES and Sega Genesis), and at 42 have started to get back into it after my sister gifted me an Oculus, and after discovering Apple Arcade. Have been looking for good podcasts with game and hardware recommendations and this is my favourite so far. It’s relatable, not too serious, and light on the puffery that seems to plague most other podcasts I’ve tried in this genre. It hits all the right notes for fun and nostalgia whilst being informative. Looking forward to hearing more. Update: Thanks for the Apple Arcade recommendations! Will try them out. I also recommend Little Orpheus which is funny and beautiful to look at, and Shinsekai, which is intriguing. However they both did get to feel a little repetitive after a while, and perhaps a bit light. I wonder if this is a limitation of what can be achieved with the hardware, or if as you guys pointed out there just isn’t the draw for developers to invest in making games for Apple Arcade. Either way, a bit of a shame, as I enjoy playing Arcade games through Apple TV (which incidentally works really well with Sony Dualsense controllers). Planning to get PlayStation soon… or Xbox! Haven’t fully decided. But I am looking forward to see how much gaming has come along since I was a lass.

Very enjoyable. Host does a good job steering the conversation while still letting the guest speak (which takes some skill). The podcast celebrates video games, and is an easy listen. Looking forward to new episodes in the future.
