Reboot the Workplace with Dr. John Boudreau
Description
In recent years our work environment has gotten more visibility and attention as we juggle how to deal with a pandemic. Our conversation this week with Dr. John Boudreau will help us navigate and learn from these changes, so we can embrace them to create a better work environment.
We discuss in depth how adopting a skills based systems can be a framework to redefine an organization. Instead of being made up of jobs and job holders it can become a rich pool of skills that help projects and tasks succeed. This new method can breathe life into the conversation, helping to evolve our traditional and often limited ways of approaching situations. Some organizations might find they are already using many of these processes and can learn how to broaden them to other areas.
Dr. John Boudreau is Professor Emeritus of Management and Organization and a Senior Research Scientist with the Center for Effective Organizations at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California, Dr. Boudreau is recognized worldwide for breakthrough research on the bridge between superior human capital, talent and sustainable competitive advantage. He consults and conducts executive development with companies worldwide that seek to maximize their employees’ effectiveness by discovering the specific strategic bottom-line impact of superior people and human capital strategies.
Please join us again next week as we continue Warriors At Work conversations to guide us in transforming and enriching the organizations we lead and are a part of.
