Tone problems
There’s a tone problem with this podcast. The presenters would do well to distinguish between cynicism and scepticism when it comes to political analysis. For example: if you make your career in political journalism and broadcasting presumably you find politics interesting and elections, the lifeblood of democracy, still more interesting. So why all the cynical cracks about elections being a drag? It seems like posturing and it sounds amateurish. Have a listen to something like Skullduggery with Isikoff and Klaidman. Sceptical to a fault but they’ve left the knee-jerk cynicism for the kids.

These opposing views are blowing my mind, do I listen to the centrist conservative or the centrist who leans conservative. So hard to choose.

I really enjoyed the first episode, and look forward to the development of this podcast. In particular, I appreciated the respectful disagreement. We don’t all have to agree, but it’s nice to be able to get along!
