“I love Canadian politics, and can’t get enough Canadian political podcasts. I’ve listened to every episode of the backbench and am sad to report it is my least favourite of them all.
Perhaps there is an audience for this. I lean left politically, but to me the show is just lefty smug griping from activist (journalists?) that I’ve never heard of. I feel you never have a sense of how many people are even on the show.
Toward the end of every show, someone will make a point of order, say something, and the host will tell them it’s “not a point of order”. Not sure what that’s about.
I am leaving this feedback in hopes that Canadaland will take another look at the format of this show, or go back to the drawing board. I will keep listening for now as I think the show is sure to change or end soon.”
