Surprisingly good
I landed on this podcast completely randomly, looking for some free audiobooks on apple podcast. Adam James has a passion for storytelling, he is good at it and you can feel it. I liked the atmosphere on Orona, the descriptions are well balanced and characters are “alive” (while sometimes a bit archetypal- but still credible enough). The sound special effects is also good enough to immerge yourself in this world. Clearly this is amateur work, but in the best sense of the word: full of passion and dedication with limited resources. One can clearly tell that Adam has a great inner world and, most importantly, that he has found a way to express it. Not everything is 100% original (similarities with Herbert’s Dune or Tolkien LoR are obvious) but the final result is pretty much entertaining and deserves to be listened and enjoyed entirely.

Super stoked that I found this. Keeps me company on my hikes, I live alone so it actually keeps me company whenever I’m down. Makes an actual difference in my life, hope there’s more coming from this guy. Great story soothing voice

I enjoy this story very much! I wish there were more time for you to just write. I fully understand I couldn’t even attempt to try something like that. Keep up the good work I will continue to listen as long as you keep it going!

Some of the high pitch sound effects in the first couple episodes were really annoying. I almost stopped but glad I didn’t. I really enjoyed the world you created with its very diverse fauna. Im a sucker for boy meets princess. Great job on voicing the characters and the flow of the story. Hope...Read full review »
