“I was really wanting this show to be good, but is just not what it claims to be. It’s a half decent interview with some interesting guests, but doesn’t live up to what the show is trying to be. The most in depth question you’ll hear about money is “how much money did you make a year?”. Which is a good start, but is a completely worthless question without context. $100k is rich for rural America, but normal for NYC or SanFran. Even worse is that the guests never directly answer the question, only giving vague answers. Yes, that’s right, one financial question that doesn’t even get answered.
The latest guest even mentions having an unexpected medical expenses, but there was literally zero discussion on how that impacted them financially.
Suggestions Qs for improvements:
What is your monthly take home pay?
Do you budget? What does that look like?
How much of your income do you spend on housing/ healthcare/ savings/ etc.
What was your worst/best financial decision?
How much unexpected costs can you comfortably handle?
What luxury goods do you own? Did you have to go into debt for them?
How much debt do you have?
What’s your credit score?
How long did you have to save before getting a down payment on a house?
Literally anything related to, you know, the money in your pocket, This show is a disappointment, :’(”
