“Just found your podcast. Nice to hear a new, dedicated Speccy podcast. Being a Brit, real shame you missed it back in the day. Arguably, the biggest selling micro computer in the UK from 82 to 86 with only the C64 offering serious competition.
For great games, pick anything from ‘Ultimate Play the Game’, ‘Hewson’ and many US Gold titles - who made great arcade conversions. Eg. Tapper, Zaxxon and unique games - Beach Head series, Raid Over Moscow etc.
Other great games include Green Beret (aka. Rush and Attack), Cobra, Mikie, Target Renegade, Chase HQ, Formula One (CRL), Spectrum Safari, Booty, Marble Madness, Commando, Wheelie, Feud, Enduro Racer, Wriggler, Heartland, Vampire, Megabucks, Monty Mole games - so many to mention. Martial Arts related? Try ‘The Way of the Exploding Fist’, ‘IK+’ and ‘Last Ninja 2’.
