Richard Cottingham was a serial killer active in the New York and New Jersey area between 1967-1980. He was dubbed by the press as the "Torso Killer" and the "Times Square Ripper" due to the brutal nature of his crimes. Ultimately convicted of 18 murders, he claims to have murdered at least 100.
