Gary and Carys are joined by the MP for Coventry South, Zarah Sultana, to discuss her journey into politics, media representation, and the importance of speaking truth to power. Zarah Sultana is the Member of Parliament for Coventry South. She worked in retail while studying International Relations and Economics at the University of Birmingham. After graduating, she entered the third sector and then became a community organiser for Labour in the West Midlands. She was elected as the Member of Parliament for Coventry South in 2019, representing the Labour Party until she received a six-month suspension in July 2024, as one of seven Labour MPs who voted to scrap the two-child benefit cap.
