Episode 15: Joe Grant - Ultra Runner turned Bikepacker and Human-Powered Adventurer
Listen now
Description
Joe Grant is a household name in ultra-running, but a few years back turned his hand to bikepack racing to challenge himself with something new. Joe has some incredible finishes in both the Colorado Trail Race and the Arizona Trail Race. He also took on a project called the Tour de 14ers, setting a fastest known time and becoming only the second person to complete the project in the process. The concept is simple, tag all 58 of Colorado's 14,000 foot peaks, travelling between the clusters of mountains by bike and tagging the summit on foot, entirely self-supported. Joe is also an artist and a photographer and has created some incredible content in the process of his journeys. Telling his story and documenting the journeys only adding to his experience. https://www.alpine-works.com/ https://vimeo.com/ondemand/themiddleway @alpineworks / https://www.instagram.com/alpineworks/ As mentioned in the episode intro: https://www.bikepackingroots.org/bipoc_adventure_grant.html To support the show: https://www.patreon.com/overlandarchive https://www.paypal.me/overlandarchive
