Description
Today’s Full Stack Journey podcast focuses on a recent AWS announcement on the AWS Controllers for Kubernetes (ACK). Currently available as a developer preview, ACK is a project to let customers manage their AWS services directly from Kubernetes.
Joining Scott on the podcast to talk about ACK is Justin Garrison (@rothgar on Twitter), co-author of Cloud Native Infrastructure, long-time member of the Kubernetes community, and currently working as a container advocate at AWS.
Over the course of the discussion about ACK, Scott and Justin cover:
* Details about the AWS Controllers for Kubernetes
* The reasons for creating ACK
* Intended use cases
* Whether the project is ready for consumption by the general public
* Technologies that ACK leverages
* Some things to learn in preparation for evaluating—or potentially deploying—this project
