Description
This episode I have a hugely enjoyable chat with Mr Brent Spivey. Brent doesnt get anywhere near as much credit as he should. We had a chat to Dewi Clough in ep173 where he tonked the enthusiasm bongos for one of Brent’s games, Mayhem. Dewi’s enthusiasm made me want to reach out to Brent and I am so glad I did, he was such a welcoming and enthusiastic guy. We waffle on about a wide range of things from reality TV, his games, creator royalties, and lots of other thing in between.
One of the major points which come up in the show is the amount of mini agnostic rule sets being put out by talented and passionate people. For ten to fifteen bucks you can pick up a rule set, you probably already have enough minis, and get playing.
Just think, in your fridge you have a huge packet of ham, and a giant baguette, sometimes you dont need more ham or bread, some times a nice wee mustard or relish is what you need to make your meal different and tasty. Have a look at some of these independent and self produced rule sets, the enthusiasm, passion, and talent on show is amazing.
I hope you enjoy the show.
In this episode, I speak to Robert Salters who writes mini-agnostic rule sets. You hear about them in the show, but the one you may know of most is Battlespace, an ultra-modern solo/co-op rule set with some interesting mechanics, which you will hear about in the chat. It was fun to talk to...
