“I was enjoying the first few episodes I heard, until I got to the episode where Chelsea Manning was deadnamed. There was no reason to do this - the narrator could simply have explained that she is trans for the sake of the backstory, and clarified that her former name would not be used. Not only was she deadnamed at the beginning of the story, but after stating her current name would be used, again her deadname was used. A bit more research into current journalism practices could have easily prevented this.”
