“I enjoy the podcast, but want to share a few thoughts. I think the panel would benefit greatly from someone with more life experience. Parenthood is an intergenerational show and it's hard for young folks to understand all perspectives. For example, I was shocked that Camille was criticized for wanting to sell her house. Is she supposed to sacrifice her entire life for her grown children? The house is their major asset--selling it will allow them financial security and freedom. The "kids" can hang out at Adam and Kristina's (or at Camille and Zeke's new, smaller place for that matter). You don't keep a house that is too big and falling into disrepair for sentimental reasons unless you have lots of spare cash. And you certainly don't just GIVE a house to a child--what are they supposed to live on??? They need and deserve the money from their house--sheesh! And of course Camille has mixed feelings after 40 years in the house, but don't judge her for wanting more out of life than a house. Also, only children are not necessarily "spoiled". That is a rude, outdated stereotype. Any child can be spoiled, whether they have siblings or not. Sydney was obviously raised improperly--no limits or consequences for bad behavior. It's not about being an only. The panel is enthusiastic and does a good job discussing the characters from a young adult's perspective. Thanks for covering this quality show.”
