“Ginger Katy…I’m not even sure where to start. I am a Christian mother, raised in a godly/Christian home, homeschooled myself and currently homeschooling 4 of my 5 kids and somewhere I got lost along the way… My kids were disobedient, disrespectful and really just running the house. My husband is a yeller in recovery and I, who HATES yelling, became a yeller! We were trying to find peace in all the wrong places. Grasping desperately at all the advice being thrown our way and forgetting entirely to look to our Creator for wisdom. My sister turned me on to your podcast back a few months ago and I am telling you…it has CHANGED MY LIFE! I recently ordered your book “Don’t Make Me Count to Three” for myself and a gift to my sister. We both agreed that we could NOT put it down. It has FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORMED my day to day parenting life! I ordered the Wise words for Moms chart and use it DAILY. We are about 4 weeks into my transformation and today, my VERY STUBBBBBORN 7 year old came to me about 30 minutes after being disciplined, gave me a big hug said “Mom, I’m really sorry for the way I’ve been acting” …I almost cried. (After I picked my jaw up off the floor lol) The advice in this book is literally EVERYTHING I’ve been begging the Lord for the past year! I just ordered your other book today and can’t wait to dive in! Thank you for following the Lord and sharing your advice to those of us that are still in the child rearing years! I was SURE we were done having babies, but now that I feel like I’m not an utter failure? Number 6 is sounding like a great idea BAHA! Funny Story before I go. (Is this even a review at this point?🤷🏼‍♀️) My middle son is VERY bright. He’s 9, but really he’s like 29, he understands way too much. When there was an issue, I would walk to my chart and ask the questions verbatim “Are you obeying or disobeying?” … he got to the point where he couldn’t stand it anymore “who is this BRENDA girl?! I wish you’d never have met her!” …later I’d ask “Are you promoting Peace or stirring up strife?” … He’d say “Why are you asking this?! Is this from that JENNY girl?!” He literally CANNOT remember that it’s “Ginger” and have shed so many tears of laughter over how many names you been called! At this point its more than 7! It’s what I need when my days get heavy with training. Anyway- Thought that was funny! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for your ministry! I have HOPE that my children will love the Lord and that we can honor Him as a family, because I finally have a grip on parenting! I feel like we’re friends that talk all the time ha! I faithfully listen and tell EVERYONE about your podcast! Much love to you and Katy…keep it up!”
