Description
Lynne Hughes lost both her parents by the age of 12. She recognized the lack of resources available to her as a grieving child, and into adult life realized child bereavement resources were still nonexistent. So, she took her love for summer camp and founded Comfort Zone Camp, the first-ever national 501(c)3 bereavement camp for grieving children and families. Since its inception in 1998, CZC has helped over 24,000 grieving children.     Listen to this Parenting With Impact episode with Lynne Hughes about managing grief.     Here is what to expect on this week’s show: Lynne highlights the importance of preparing children to handle common questions and emotional moments, especially in school settings. Lynne explains creating environments where children can express their emotions and feel safe is crucial for their well-being and learning. Lynne emphasizes that there is no one way to grieve, and each individual's journey is unique. Validating children's emotions, demonstrating coping skills, and offering consistent support are key components in helping them navigate life's difficulties and build resilience.   Listen Now:  impactparents.com/podcast   Connect with Lynne: Website - https://comfortzonecamp.org/ Camp Calendar - https://comfortzonecamp.org/calendar/   Get your FREE copy of 12 Key Coaching Tools https://impactparents.com/gift     Connect with Impact Parents: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/impactparents/ @impactparents Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ImpactParent @impactparent LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/impactparents/ @impactparents X (fka Twitter): https://twitter.com/ImpactParents @impactparents Learn more about your ad choices.
