Didn’t just change my parenting for the better, changed my life
There is so much here for any parent. Our first thee years of parenting were super easy, and I thought we were nailing it. Actually we were. But by the time we had a 4-year-old girl and 2-year-old boy we were out of our comfort zone. Power struggles and general dissatisfaction and exhaustion were daily. I kept maintaining that it shouldn’t be this hard and with a little bit of education I would understand what to do and how to do it. No one could help so I googled and googled and stumbled across Susan Stiffleman, and subsequently Janet Lansbury, and now I have the tools. It has changed our parenting in positive ways: reinforcing what are doing right, but clearly and gently educating us about how to do things differently to achieve better outcomes, for everyone. I have learned so much, particularly around the behavior, which I found really intolerable, and thought was naughty. To learn that it was, in fact, natural behavior, and to understand how to reframe my attitude and appreciation for what was going on, has been so, so helpful. I could go on for a long time. Suffice to say, jump on, sign up, don’t miss an episode. Thank you very much SS. Thank you.
