Everything You Could Hope for in a Podcast
Paul Giamatti is a treasure unto himself–funny, intelligent, insightful, a great actor. Even if it were just him talking, I’d consider it a win. What I absolutely love about this topic, as someone with a mind like a browser with too many tabs open, is the diversity of topics and guests. There’s enough depth of discussion while still keeping it light and approachable. It all feels very natural and conversational. I love that there isn’t just one theme (true crime, “wellness,” history, etc.) It’s a rich buffet- perfect for the autodidact, the epistemophile, the dilettante, the casually curious, or people that just stay up late on Wikipedia reading about random topics until 4 AM. He brings on great guests, and you’re guaranteed to learn enough to at least have a conversation in real life about the topic of the episode in real life. Five stars.

These chinwags are super smart but also hilarious and non-pretentious. It’s nice to hear celebs and experts discussing topics instead of discussing themselves. I look forward to these!
