The most helpful thing I’ve tried yet
The principles of connection and empathy laid out in this podcast are the thing that has helped me the most so far with parenting my intense, willful, often angry three year old. My husband and I both struggle with keeping calm in the face of his chaos, and this is really helping reduce the amount of yelling and timeouts in our home. After a couple weeks of incorporating special time and staying with him when he’s upset instead of leaving home alone or giving time out, he is still plenty challenging but the adults have so many more tools to stay calm and loving and not shaming. I truly believe this will help him long term as well. Thank you!!!!

I really like the approach and way the topics are covered. It feels so real and often raw. The two hosts are in different parts of parenting and also of finding out about who they are as parents. Inspiring and I always come away with something concrete to think about or try out.
