Thoughtful and fun
I am a former English teacher who likes to process well written works as I absorb them. I finally decided to wade into Peaky Blinders and found this show- one of the few I could find that dealt with the entire series. One of the first things I heard was the hosts trying to remember the name of “that rock concert in the 60s.” (I started it in season 4.) I was afraid I was confronting an unworkable generation gap when the discussion was being led by kids who didn’t know the name Woodstock. Ha! But I was wrong. Turns out Mario and Zachary run a pretty thoughtful discussion. I also like that they have a producer on hand to look up details and fact check in real time. That really lends an air of credibility that I appreciate, and so should everyone else. In this podcast you will get a detailed summary of plot as well as an intelligent back and forth about the quality of the writing, character development, plot holes, significance of developments, thru lines, and themes, as well as some entertaining repartee. If you just want to revel in Peaky Blinders, you’ll get that. If you want something a little more elevated, you’ll get that, too. My only complaint is that Mario has a tendency to try to dominate a bit. Zachary does a good job of standing up for himself, but If they were in one of my classes, we would have sidebar. :) Overall, a substantive and enjoyable podcast.

Started this podcast during HoD which was decent. Been a downward spiral since. Laced with racist, xenophobic and misogynistic personal opinions and attack any concept that bucks their myopic view of the world.
