Lacks structure and detail but very interesting
There is clearly a wealth of historical knowledge between the two hosts, yet the first two episodes lack the structure to convey this or get across much detail. For example, in the second episode there is little detail on what Monash actually did and how he achieved it. There is also a lack of context given e.g. regarding the British “All Arms” tactical development, which Monash is described as a “great practitioner” of, without the hosts explaining what it was or why it was so effective. I feel more structure and detail would improve this podcast massively, rather than the stream of consciousness style currently being used. Aside from this, the hosts clearly have good chemistry, exceptional knowledge, and are very likeable. Please add more structure and detail to better share this knowledge with us.

More reviews of Peter Hart's Military History
Very informative podcast series, with a different view on the subject matter then popular belief. Really enjoying every episode, even on subjects that i’m not really that interested in.

Peter and Gary truly makes the history living! Even Fred’s small but powerful contributions are enjoyable. At least from the safe distance of the podcast medium. A fine body of men they are!

A brilliant yet sad history lesson of how things were. Fortunately, told with light humour and humility. Gary is my favourite!
