“Somehow the British can take a heavy topic such as the Great War, with all the tragedy and heartache, and still present it with such reverence while being jocular and occasionally appearing irreverent, that you actually welcome the levity as the soldiers would have. Peter Hart and Gary Bain are a delight to listen to and will challenge and correct myths held for decades. I am thankful for the new knowledge and the wonderful style in which they convey it. “Fantastic Military History podcast. The Heroes All episode challenged a few myths and made me think about the subject in a different way. The best podcast if you want to know what the Great War was really like. (Spoiler Alert: Pretty awful for most involved)”
