“I initially enjoyed this podcast until I began to notice the frequent logical fallacies and pro-defense bias (admittedly copped to on later episodes with an ironically poor defense of this choice). Here’s a perfect example. The host lauded the defense strategy of “blaming the victim” when Theranos investors relied on purposely doctored documents to advise their clients to invest. “This is a $100M investment,” the host exclaimed, adding more research should have been done. But that’s not what is at issue. The materials Holmes approved were chock-full of lies and were doctored to look like Pfizer wrote them. THAT is what is at issue, and the judge knuckle-wrapped the defense for blaming the victim. None of those facts were mentioned in the podcast. If the lawyer you know is crooked, than this is perfect for you.”
