Air-travel Heroes 🛩❤️🪐
I’ll get to the point, dear readers, but it’ll be a bit of a journey. TL;DR Petty Crimes is a blast. You’ll enjoy it. Trust. Last week, I went on my first trip to the Big Apple, and my first trip outside of Canada since the Canadian-American border reopened! I’m not a great flyer (read: I haven’t flown in 20 years) and so it was a huge deal to have found a train that would take me to and from New York City! It was a fantastic trip, and on the way home I loaded up my iPhone with episodes of Petty Crimes and other podcasts to casually listen to on the way back. Fun! So, I arrived at Penn Station at 6:15 am for my train and found out that a tornado had hit the railway tracks. Not fun. There was no way for me to get back unless I wanted to fly, which I did not. But what choice did I have? When I say I’m not a great flyer, I apparently mean I’m the kind of person who goes straight to the airport at 6:15 am for a 7:30 pm flight, spends 12 hours in the airport being too anxious to eat, and instead ingests nothing but doubles of Diet Coke and vodka (and one Caesar because in my little drunko mind, I needed veggies.) I’m not a drinker, so you can imagine how this all went down. Friends, I was THAT girl in the airport #criminalorminimal? Anyways, aside from the alcohol, the only thing that made me calm down was listening to Petty Crimes. I don’t remember the episode, but I remember half sleeping, half boozy-giggling to Ceara and Griff tell stories of life’s awkward interactions. Feeling a sense of camaraderie with those frustrated by others in their social circles, and if I’m honest, at that point, even moreso with those being put on trial, made me so happy. I was not my best self, but who cares, we are all Petty Criminals at some point or another! So, if you haven’t already, give it a little listen. If it’s good enough to make someone laugh in a moment of sensing personal impending doom, while anxiety drunk, it’s probably good enough to listen to on your commute home from work. All chaos aside, Ceara and Griff, PC team, you’re doing a fantastic job and I can’t wait to hear more! 🛩🪐❤️

Funny, calm and not to serious. A great podcast in a world that takes everything to serious.
