Immature and time-wasting hosts
Dude, i started listening to the Shawshank redemption episode and the hosts get on each one of my last nerves — god, are you 12 yr old boys? The constant interruptions and smug self-indulgent jokes are maybe funny if it’s your first time ever discovering the concept of humor. The hosts talk to hear their unfunny selves speak, like the part where the main dude is saying “I’m not saying freedom is bad” and then the dudes all unfunnily and time-wastingly riff off that for like 5 mins as if they’re ChatGPT filling the prompt “make humorous commentary by purposely pretending to misinterpret the host’s statements for 5 mins straight.” Just unfunny, waste of time, aimless dudes doing throat exercises.

I thoroughly enjoy this show. Fun banter between the hosts and a thoughtful analysis of the film’s discussed. I highly recommend.

Listened to the Knives Out episode and never has slightly cluttered wittering been so interesting. I love this film and so interesting to hear it broken down in this way. From one podcaster to another- keep it up!

I have listened to most of the episodes now and I think they just get better and better. Always a unique perspective which is rare I find. Love the recent guests on the show. 3 squirts of butter which equals 5 stars
