“While I’m not from Mass originally, I’ve found quite a home in this continuous roulette wheel of alt-comics and nerdy joke tellers. and the community around the Debate show is honestly one of the most loving and honest spaces I’ve ever experienced.
It’s like being in a home away from home cuz everyone is gathered together for a shared interest in arguing over so many dumb and worthless topics but giving them life and time to breathe on a podcast that may not reach beyond our corner of the world, but I’ll be damned if I don’t share it and tell folks about how cool it is whenever I travel.
It’s also been one of the few spaces to actively support new, green, and inexperienced comics and budding public speakers a chance to try something new or have some stage time.
Shawn is a great host, has a fantastic attitude, and an absurd work ethic to make sure the pod is as interactive, organized, and hilarious as possible. it isn’t an easy task to accomplish each week - running my own weekly pod, I recognize the power of his game - so I’m excited to see he’s doing a wonderful job by constantly evolving and trying new things to improve the pod each week as well.”
